If you were busy prepping for your big turkey dinner last week, you might have missed Mayim Bialik's announcement that her nine-year marriage is ending.
Today, the L.A. County Superior Court documents were released, and they show that the Big Bang Theory star is citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for her split with husband Michael Stone. And she is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two sons, Miles, 7 and Fred, 4.
In her announcement, Bialik, 36, an advocate of attachment parenting, "The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision: relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose."
She also said, "Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly."
Today, Bialik is sharing a poem titled Ode to The First Weeks. It's something she wrote four years ago about her babies, but says it "still brings me to tears."
Look for Bialik tonight on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. She tweeted that she taped it on Thursday.
